I discovered Jurgen Wolff -- a writer, teacher and hypnotherapist -- one day while surfing the internet. Now I am a subscriber to his extremely helpful and insightful monthly Brainstorm E-bulletin. One of the items he discusses in the bulletin this month is Urgent Patience.
What is Urgent Patience? From what I gather, it is the acknowledgment that most worthwhile goals and endeavors take a while to bear fruit. So one must be patient, yet proactive. Jurgen recommends doing something, anything, every day to move your goal forward.
The most important point he makes, in my opinion, is that while one should move forward every day toward her goal, the steps can be baby steps. 5 or 10 minutes a day adds up, and before you know it, you are making progress.
If you don't have clearly-defined goals, however, it's probably best to start by creating them.
What are your goals and dreams? Are you ready to practice urgent patience, and move toward them little by little each day?
