Called to Rise

I watched the movie Seabiscuit last night, and can't seem to get the Emily Dickenson quote they used in the narration out of my head:


"We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies."


These words seem so fitting now with all the challenges and opportunities we face as Americans and global citizens.
